Year four pupils at Offley Primary Academy in Sandbach have completed a 120km collective run to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, in support of their friend and classmate Lilibeth, who is currently receiving treatment in the hospital’s oncology department.
The children set themselves the challenge to show solidarity with Lilibeth and to give something back to the team caring for her.
Their efforts have already raised £1,735, with donations continuing to come in.
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is one of the UK’s leading centres for paediatric oncology, providing specialist treatment and support for children and their families.
Offley Primary Academy is part of St Bart’s Multi Academy Trust.
