Tree in memory of Ian

Couns Jim Garvey and Nigel Yates recently planted a memorial tree at the Hot Lane playground in Biddulph Moor in memory of the late Coun Ian Lawson, who was instrumental in funding the Biddulph Moor community orchard. Coun Garvey wrote on social media: “A great cross-party endeavour, Independent and Labour councillors helping commemorate a Conservative county councillor.” He added: “Obviously Nigel was doing the ‘labouring’!” (Photo: Jim Garvey / Facebook).
