BALL (Louis Samuel, “Lou”). At rest on Thursday, 29th May 2025, at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Lou, aged 83 years, of Knypersley. A devoted and loving husband, dad, father-in-law, granddad and great-grandy. Lou will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. The funeral service will take place at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, on Friday, 20th June at 11am prior to interment into Woodhouse Burial Ground. BARNETT (Doris). It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the death of a very special woman. Doris passed away on Saturday, 7th June at Hollins Park Care Home, aged 90. She was the most cherished wife of the late Mr Peter Samuel Barnett; loving mum to Jennifer, Catherine, Neil and the late Elaine; loved mother-in-law to Mammad, Malcolm and Kerry; much-loved grandmar of Jennifer, Emma, Cheryl, John, Gemma, Soraya, Natalie and Rarmeen, and adored great-grandmar to many great-grandchildren. Doris will be fondly remembered for her love of baking, flower arranging, her two Border Collies and for being a loyal friend to many. She will be most sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, at 2pm on Tuesday, 24th June. DEAKIN (Raymond). Peacefully at home on Monday, 2nd June 2025, Ray, aged 79 years, of Brown Lees. The much-loved husband of Iris; treasured dad of Judith, Chris and the late Paul and Carl; dear father-in-law of Mike; beloved granddad of Paul, Matty and George; cherished great-granddad of Orla, and dearly loved brother of Harry and Barbara. A service and cremation is to take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Wednesday, 18th June at 1.20pm Will all friends please meet at the crematorium. GOODWIN (Jennifer Marianne). Jennifer passed away peacefully on Friday, 30th May 2025 at East Cheshire Hospice with her daughters by her side, aged 62. She was the loving mum to Leanna and Jess; beloved Nana Jen to Phoebe and Darcie; cherished little sister to William, Anne, John, Rosemary, Irene, and Marie; friend to Richard, and treasured auntie to all of her nieces and nephews. Jennifer will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, her soft and gentle nature, her sense of humour, and her courage. She will be desperately missed by everyone who knew her. GALLEY (Thomas Raymond, “Raymond”). Raymond passed away quietly on Thursday, 22nd May 2025 at Astbury Mere Care Home, surrounded by his loving family, aged 94. Raymond will be lovingly remembered for his strength of character and words of wisdom and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. PARSONS (David John). David passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on Tuesday, 27th May 2025 at home, aged 83. David will be lovingly remembered for his words of wisdom, many stories, his love of books, stamps and jigsaws and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. PASS (Glenys). Peacefully at rest on 2nd June 2025, at Davlyn House Nursing Home, Brindley Ford, Glenys, formerly of Woodhouse Lane, Biddulph Moor, aged 76 years. She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and the staff at Davlyn House. The funeral service is to be held a Brindley Ford Methodist Church on Friday, 20th June at 10am, followed by burial at Christ Church Churchyard, Biddulph Moor. The devoted partner of Michael; dearly loved mum, mum-in-law, nan, sister and auntie. Eileen will be sadly missed by lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. WATTS (Philip Edward). Passed away peacefully at Park Lane Nursing Home, Knypersley on Thursday, 29th May 2025, aged 74 years, Phil of Biddulph Moor. The very much-loved husband of Sue; dad to Nicky, Jenny and Andy; father-in-law to Chris, Lee and Leah, and granddad to Eddie, Henry, Noah and Pippa. After a long career at Johnson Tiles, in his retirement Phil enjoyed driving for the Biddulph Volunteer Bureau, playing bowls and bridge, and was very involved with Biddulph u3a. Phil will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The funeral service and cremation is to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Thursday, 19th June at 2pm.
