BILSBOROUGH (Kathleen, née Davies). Sadly passed away on Sunday, 4th May 2025 while at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, and in the presence of her loving family, Kathleen, aged 86 years, of Congleton, formerly of Scholar Green. She was the dearly loved wife of Roy; much-loved mother of David, Melanie and the late Nigel; and a very dear mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma and aunty. Kathleen will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends. The funeral service and interment will take place at All Saints Church, Odd Rode, on Tuesday, 10th June at 1.30pm. BOWYER (Gordon James). Peacefully passed away on 19th May 2025, at Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Gordon aged 84 years of Biddulph. The devoted husband of Maureen; dearly loved dad and father-in-law of Wendy, Michael and Garry; much-loved granddad of Rebecca, Robert, Richard and Lottie; a cherished great-granddad of Logan, Flynn, Ruby and Elsa, and a very special brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Gordon will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his very loving family and friends. HOLLAND (Sydney Edward). Passed away peacefully on 26th May 2025, Syd, aged 91 years, of Elworth, Sandbach. THOMPSON (George). George passed away peacefully on Saturday, 31st May 2025 at Macclesfield District General Hospital surrounded by his loving family, aged 87. He was the dearly loved husband of Norma; loving dad to David, Diane and Paul; respected father-in-law to Andrew and Kim; much-loved granddad of Kelly, Nikki, Jessica, George and Kian, and great-granddad to Thomas and Archer, and a respected brother and uncle. George will be lovingly remembered for his warm personality, friendly smile, love of gardening and strength of character and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held at Macclesfield Crematorium, at 11.30am on Thursday, 19th June 2025. Please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating George’s life. VICKERS (Joan Margaret). The sudden and unexpected passing of Joan Margaret Vickers occurred on 20th May 2025 at Royal Stoke University Hospital. Joan, aged 94, of Biddulph, was the devoted wife of the late Albert; dearly loved mum of Gordon, Lynne and Carole; dear mother-in-law of Madeleine, Ian and Robert, and cherished nan of Kate, Christopher, Emily and great-nan of Holly, Rory, Elsie and Etta-Rose. Joan will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. The service will take place at St Lawrence’s Church on Thursday, 12th June at 11am, followed by an interment at St Lawrence’s Burial ground.
