NIGHTINGALE (Margaret). Peacefully passed away on 14th November 2025, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Knypersley, Margaret aged 86 years. She was the devoted wife of the late Brian; dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Barbara and Bill; much-loved godmother of Julia and Jeremy, and a very special friend to many. Margaret will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. A private funeral will be held to celebrate the life of Margaret. Donations are being gratefully received for the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Margaret.
PENNINGTON (Colin). Passed away peacefully in Newton Court Care Home on 5th December 2025, aged 92. Colin lived on the Heath for 60 years with his loving wife Shirley. They ran the newsagents and Post Office together and raised their children, Debbie, Heidi and Eddy there. He had two grandchildren, Joshua and Alicia. His strong character will be missed by all. PRICE (Suzanne Elaine). Suzanne sadly passed away on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, with Mandy and Michelle by her side. Suzanne, of Congleton, aged 59 years, was the much-loved daughter of the late John and Brenda; adored sister of Mandy and the late John; dear sister-in-law of Simon; cherished auntie of Michelle, Gavin and Blessing, and treasured great-auntie of Dylan and Asher. Suzanne will be sadly missed by her family and many friends but will be fondly remembered. The funeral service will take place at The Birches Crematorium on Monday, 29th December at 3.30pm. SAINT (George). Suddenly on Wednesday, 3rd December, at Macclesfield Hospital, in the presence of his loving family, George, aged 84 years, of Congleton. The dearly beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Dotty); much-loved dad of Steven, Diane and Victoria; dear father-in-law of Claire, Dave and Andy; devoted granddad of Thomas, Robert, Gee and Debbie; precious great-granddad of Frankie, Nievie, Leighton, Lucas, Izzy, Parker and Sophie, and dearest brother of Doreen, Terry, John and the Late Pheobe and Len. George will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends. The funeral Cortege will leave his home in Congleton on Tuesday, 30th December for a service and cremation at The Birches Remembrance Park and Crematorium, Northwich, at noon. Would relatives kindly accept this, the only intimation. Friends wishing to attend please meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only please. SHINGLER (Robert, “Bob”). After a brief illness, Bob, aged 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends, on Monday 1st December 2025. He was the cherished husband of Violet; loving pops/dad to Jay and Alan; respected father-in-law to Paul and Donna; much-loved granddad of Freyja and Charley, and friend to many. Bob was a real character who will be fondly remembered for his bubbly personality, his energy, his friendly smile, and his ability to be able to mend most things! He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held at Key Green Methodist Church, Congleton, at 11am on Friday, 2nd January. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Bob’s life. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages and cards that have been sent in Bob’s memory.
