BARLOW (Janet, née Brooks). Passed away peacefully on Monday, 11th August 2025 at East Cheshire Hospice, Janet, of Congleton, aged 74 years. The loved and devoted wife of the late Peter; adored mum of Mel, Chris and Kev; very dear mother-in-law of Vicky and Helen, and cherished nan of Lola, Alice, Billy, Noah, Georgia, Allan and Rob. Janet will be sadly missed by all who knew her but fondly remembered. The funeral service will take place at The Birches Crematorium on Monday, 8th September at 3pm. Family flowers only. HEATH (Susan) Peacefully on 12th August 2025, at home, Susan, aged 75 years, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of John; loving mum of Shaun; dear mother-in-law of Samantha; cherished and treasured nanny of Finlay, Elliot and Isla, and a dear sister of Christopher, the late Anne and the late Janet. The cortege is to leave her home on Thursday, 4th September at 10.50am for a service and cremation at Macclesfield Crematorium at 11.30am. JOHNSTON (Barbara May). Barbara passed away peacefully on Sunday, 10th August 2025 at Macclesfield District General Hospital in the presence her loving family, aged 86. She was the cherished wife of the late Ieuan Johnston; proud mother to Jane and Andrew; much-loved grandmother of Arthur, Emily, Jake, Jamie and Ruben, and respected sister of Keith. Barbara will be lovingly remembered for her warm personality, friendly smile and strength of character and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The service of celebration will be held at Trinity Methodist Church, Congleton, at noon on Thursday, 28th August. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Barbara’s life. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolences and cards that have been sent in Barbara’s memory. LANCASTER (Leslie Hugh). Passed away peacefully after a short illness, aged 90 years, on Tuesday, 5th August 2025 at the Westbourne Nursing Home, Holmes Chapel, Les of Biddulph. The devoted husband of the late Esma (née Chambers) and much-loved father of Susan, partner of the late Jean and a dear uncle. Les was a lifelong cyclist and a long-time member of Congleton Cycling Club. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends but fondly remembered. Val will be missed greatly by all who knew her. WILLIAMS (Terence George, “Terry”). Terry, aged 84, of Biddulph Moor, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, 29th July 2025 at Royal Stoke University Hospital. The Devoted and beloved husband of the late Hilary; treasured dad to Ruth, Peter, and Rachel; and dear father-in-law to Darryl, Laura, and Karl; a cherished granddad to David, Daniel, Catherine, Michael, Lottie, Maddie, Ellie, Freddie and Alfie, and a loving great-granddad. Terry was also a much-loved brother to Lilian and a kind friend and neighbour to many. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
