BOOTH. Suddenly on 10th January 2024 at home. Donna Marie, aged 50, of Marton. A dearly loved mum, cherished nana and a dear sister and sister-in-law. Cortege is to leave her home on Wednesday, 7th February at 10.45am for service and interment at Marton church at 11am. BRAMMELD (Joan). Joan passed away peacefully on Friday, 12th January 2024 at Macclesfield District General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, aged 82. The cherished wife of John, loving mum to John, Shaun and Claire, adored nanna, great-nanna, auntie and friend. The funeral will be held at Congleton United Reformed Church at 11.30am on Thursday, 8th February followed by committal at Birches Crematorium. BRITTAIN (Jean). Suddenly on Wednesday, 10th January while at home. Jean, aged 93, of Biddulph. The beloved and devoted wife of the late Reg, treasured mum of Derek and partner Yvonne, and the late Susan and David, a loving and cherished nan, great-nan and great-great-nan and a very dear neighbour and good friend to many. Jean will be sadly missed but affectionately remembered by all her loving family and friends. A service of celebration will take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Tuesday, 6th February at 11.20am. HODGKINSON (Kenneth John “Ken”). Peacefully on Sunday, 14th January 2024. Ken, aged 74, and late of Haslington. Survived by his son John, daughter Lisa, grandchildren Bradley, Freddie, Isabella and Oscar and his partner Jayne. Kenneth will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. KINDER (Carole). Passed away on 5th January 2024 at Macclesfield District General Hospital. Carole, aged 79, of Congleton, much loved and missed wife, mum, step-mum, grandma, auntie, sister and friend of humans and animals alike. Owner of Carole’s Cosy Cattery, Congleton. KIRKHAM (Joan). Joan passed away peacefully on Monday, 8th January 2024 at Woodeaves Nursing home, aged 95. The cherished wife of the late Bob Kirkham, loving mother to Yvonne and Jonathan, much loved nan to Robert, Antony and Emma, sister of Joyce and aunt of Nigel. Joan will be lovingly remembered for much more than just her voluntary work, which has included being a junior church leader at Congleton United Reformed Church on Antrobus street, a Congleton borough councillor for 13 years, the chairman of Quinta School and also a manager at other local schools. Joan also fought with others to keep Congleton War Memorial hospital open, on retirement helping in the Cancer Research shop and was a founder member and secretary for 17 years of Congleton Communicare. Joan went above and beyond in all she did; nothing was too much trouble, working tirelessly for Congleton, fair-minded with a fantastic sense of humour, devoting herself to family and anyone else she could possibly help. Joan loved the outdoors, gardening and rambling. She will be sadly missed by family, friends and all who knew her. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Lach Dennis, at 1pm on Thursday, 1st February. The family have requested only family or very close friends attend as per Joan’s wishes. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolences and cards that have been sent in Joan’s memory. LEAKE (Paul). Sadly passed away on Sunday, 7th January 2024, at East Cheshire Hospice. Paul, aged 59, of Buglawton, Congleton.
