BEECH (Margaret, nee Mitchel). Peacefully at rest on 22nd December 2021, in the loving care of her family at home in Biddulph, Margaret, aged 89. The dearly beloved wife of the late Graham; devoted mum to David; a loving and much-loved grandmother to Callum and Jordan, and great-gran to Francesca; and a dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who will be truly missed. The funeral service is to be held at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, on Friday, 14th January at 11am, followed by interment at Woodhouse Lane Cemetery. Would all relatives and friends please meet at the church. Donations are welcome to Biddulph in Bloom and the University Hospitals of North Midlands charity (ward 76b). BRINDLEY (John James). Peacefully on Monday, 27th December 2021, at home surrounded by his loving wife and immediate family, John, aged 77, of Congleton. He was a beloved and devoted husband to Christine for 58 years; a loving and supportive father of Stephen, Warwick, Julie, Claire and Sarah; a wonderful and adoring grandfather of Josh, Lou, Ethan, Ben, Theia, Emily, Alex and Michael; treasured father-in-law to Donna, Dave, Jonathan and Trina; dearest brother of Jeff and Raye and brother-in-law to Granville; a much-loved uncle, and a very dear friend and neighbour to many. He was the centre of our world, and life will never be the same again. John will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and all his ex-police work colleagues. The funeral and committal service take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 14th January at 11am. BURT (Dorothy). Passed away peacefully on Monday, 27th December 2021, at Clayton Manor Care Home, Dorothy, aged 95, of Congleton. The loved and devoted wife of the late Charlie; cherished mum to Carol and David; very dear mother-in-law to David and Karen; treasured nana to Matthew, Andrew, Charlene and her husband Tim; and much-loved great-grandma of Jordan and Oscar. The funeral service will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 24th January at 3pm. No mourning attire, as requested by the family; colours can be worn. Family flowers only. GRAHAM (William Brian). Passed away peacefully at home on 28th December 2021, Brian, aged 73, of Elworth. The devoted husband of Pat and amazing dad to Gemma. LEE (Pat). Peacefully on 29th December 2021, at Lawton Manor Nursing Home, Pat, aged 81, of Alsager, and formerly of Hassall Green. The dearly loved wife of the late Tom; loving mum of Barry, Norman and the late Colin and Graham; dear mother-in-law of Angela and Val and a treasured nan and great-nan. The funeral service and burial will be at Christ Church, Wheelock, on Friday, 14th January at 11.30am. Will all friends please meet at the church. MOSS (John). John passed away on Tuesday, 28th December 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family, aged 77. The devoted husband of Eileen; loving father to Patrick and Rachel; dear father-in-law to John and Joanne; adored granddad to Harry, Niamh, George and Jack; loving brother to Margaret; respected brother-in-law to Ted, Stephen, Laura, Michael, Pat and Lily, and a much-treasured uncle and great-uncle. John will be lovingly remembered for his fabulous personality and friendly smile and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a pioneer of local football, being involved from the start with Meadow Vale, Congleton Vale and Vale Hoppers. He was chairman of The Vale Club. The funeral will be held at St Lawrence’s Parish Church Biddulph, on Tuesday, 11th January at 11am. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolence and cards that have been sent in John’s memory. We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust and St Paul’s (Eye) Research Foundation. Following the service everyone is invited to share memories and refreshments at The Vale Club, Canal Street, Congleton. MOSS (Thomas James). Suddenly on 19th December 2021 at home, Thomas James, aged 19, of Congleton. The dearly loved son of Kelvin and Deborah; loving brother of Sarah and Katie, and a cherished grandson of Hazel and Terry. The cortege leaves his home on Thursday, 20th January at 11.05am for a service at Congleton United Reformed Church at 11.15am, prior to committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. PARKINSON (Michael Ronald). Peacefully passed away at Royal Stoke University Hospital, on 20th December 2021, after a short illness, Michael, aged 87, of Biddulph. The dearly loved husband of the late Mavis, and a much loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Michael will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends and neighbours. The funeral service is on Thursday, 13th January at 10am to celebrate the life of Michael at St John’s Church, Knypersley, followed by committal at Biddulph Town Burial Ground. ROWE (Jean). Passed away peacefully in Leighton Hospital on 16th December 2021, Jean, aged 91. The beloved wife of the late Charles; loving mother to Alan and Janette and a much-loved nan to Nicola and Daniel.
