ARMSTRONG (David Alan). Peacefully on 25th November at home, David Alan, aged 72, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted husband of Gloria, and loving dad of Sue and Kim. The cortege is to leave his home on Tuesday, 19th December at 11.10am for a service and cremation at the Birches Crematorium at noon. BALDWIN (James). At rest on Tuesday, 28th November at Springbank Nursing Home, Knypersley, James, aged 81, of Harriseahead. The dearly loved son of the late James and Emily Baldwin, and dearest uncle to Jon and Paul. BENTLEY (Eileen “Freda”). On Thursday, 23rd November 2023, peacefully at home, Freda, aged 90, formerly of Cranage and Holmes Chapel. BODEN (Elizabeth, “Betty”). Peacefully on 30th November 2023 at East Cheshire Hospice, Macclesfield, Elizabeth “Betty” Boden, aged 84, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of Wallace; loving mum of William and Andrew; cherished mother-in-law of Michelle and Dawn; loving grandmother of Liam, Sean, Maia, Kallum, Dominic, Billy, Patrick and Chantell, and a great-grandmother of AJ and Lexi. A service and cremation are to take place at the Birches Crematorium at 1pm on Wednesday, 13th December. BOOTH (Hilda). Passed away peacefully on 15th November at Park Lane Nursing Home, Knypersley, Hilda, aged 99 years, of Knypersley. A devoted wife of the late Eric, and leaving many treasured memories for her nephews and nieces. Hilda will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. The funeral service will take place at Biddulph Methodist Church on Tuesday, 19th December at 1.30pm, followed by cremation at Bradwell Crematorium. DYER (Jean). Peacefully passed away at home with her loving son Paul by her side, Jean aged 86 years. The devoted wife of the late Ronald; dearly loved mother of Paul; cherished Nanna Jean of Emily and Bryn, and much-loved sister of Marion and Audrey. HAMMOND (Joyce). Passed peacefully 28th November 2023, aged 92 years, of Gillow Heath. The devoted wife of the late Albert, and a much-loved mum, nan and great-grandma. Joyce will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends. JEPSON (Sylvia, nee Mitchell). Peacefully at rest on 18th November 2023, while in the care of her loving family and staff of Samuel Hobson House, Sylvia, formerly of Biddulph, aged 88. The dearly beloved wife of the late Cyril; devoted mum to Sue; a dearest mother-in-law to the late Glyn; a loving and much-loved nana to Rebecca, Joanne, Emma and her husband David; a dearest great-nana to Ella and Edie, and a dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who will be truly missed. The funeral service is to take place at Christ Church, Biddulph Moor, on Thursday, 14th December at 2.30pm followed by interment in the churchyard. A truly beloved and devoted husband of Pat; treasured dad of Philip and Paul; a dear father-in-law to Angela and Joanne; cherished granddad of Kimberley, Georgia and Jordan; loving great-granddad of Beau, and a dearest brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a very good friend and neighbour to many. Peter will be greatly missed but affectionately remembered by all his loving family and friends.
