BAKER (Kathleen Cynthia). Passed away peacefully at home on 14th February 2026, Kath, aged 89 years, of Lower Withington. The dearly loved wife of the late John; cherished mum to Christine, Robert and Richard, and a treasured grandma and great-grandma. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s Society. The funeral service is to be held at All Saints’ Church, Siddington, on Friday, 6th March at 11am, followed by interment in the churchyard. GREENWOOD (Edward James). Passed away peacefully at Leighton Hospital on Wednesday, 28th January 2026, aged 76 years. The beloved husband of Hazel; loving dad of Alex and treasured granddad of Olivia and Jack. Edward will be remembered greatly and truly missed by all his family and friends. The funeral service and committal will take place on Friday, 6th March at the Birches Remembrance Park and Crematorium at noon. The family have requested no flowers, please; donations if desired will be gratefully received for the Macmillan Cancer Unit at Leighton Hospital. STOCKTON (Kathleen Mary, née Walker). Peacefully at rest while in the loving care of her family at Royal Stoke University Hospital on 12th February 2026, Kathleen, aged 90 years. The dearly loved wife of the late Gordon; devoted mum to Alison and Sarah; dearest mother-in-law to Andy and a much-loved and loving nana to Rhys, Josh, Aled, Oliver, Rhiannon and Jacob and their partners, and a great-nana to Rory Gordon; also a dearest sister. Kathleen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all. The funeral service is to be held at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, on Friday, 13th March at 10.30am, followed by cremation at Macclesfield Crematorium. Would all relatives and friends please kindly meet at the church. No flowers by request, but donations to Christian Aid are welcome in memory of Kathleen. RIDGWAY (Margaret, née Warburton). Peacefully at rest on 5th February 2026, while in the loving care of her family at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Margaret, of Biddulph, Moor, aged 83 years. The dearly beloved wife of Bill; devoted mum to Mandy and William; a loving and much-loved gran to James and Luke; a dearest mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who will be truly missed. The funeral service is to take place at Christ Church, Biddulph Moor, on Monday, 2nd March at 12.45pm, followed by a private family committal. ARMITT (Barbara). Peacefully passed away on 4th February 2026, at her home, Davlyn House, with her loving family by her side, Barbara, aged 88 years, of Harriseahead. The loved wife of the late Peter; dearly loved mum and mother-in-law of Linda, Donna and Michael, and Debbie and Mark; devoted nana of Rebekah, Matthew, Charlotte and Jessica; great-nan to Eliza, Charlie and Maddison; nan-in-law of Daniel and Joe, and a special sister to Doreen and the late Betty. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her loving family and many friends. Special thanks to all the staff at Davlyn House for their constant care and support.
