Fine weather to stay for Alsager Carnival

Wall to wall sunshine is due to continue this weekend, making the town’s carnival a hot prospect.

Organised by Alsager Round Table, the colourful procession will leave Fairview Car Park at noon and make its way to Milton Park.

The route will be down Lawton Road to Bank Corner, right at the traffic lights and down Sandbach Road North. The parade will then turn left onto Lodge Road and left into Church Road before taking a left onto Crewe Road and right into the park.

Rolling road closures will be in place between 11.30am and 1.30pm. The carnival parade is expected to take around 20 to 30 minutes to pass before roads reopen.

An afternoon of carnival fun will follow and this year it’s celebrating 100 years of Disney.
Entertainment will include stunt motorcyclist Dangerous Steve and a fun dog show organised by Alsager Animals In Need.

A beer tent, fairground rides as well as craft and food stalls will be on offer, while members of Congleton RC Trucks will be exhibiting some of their model vehicles.
