Food and drink festival.

The sun-baked streets of Congleton town centre were lined with stalls offering delicious tastes and flavours on Sunday.

Unlike North Rode Transport Show, where organisers said attendance figures were affected by the hot weather, Congleton Food and Drink Festival drew the crowds.

Organised by Congleton Community projects, the event had musical entertainment from acts including the Beartown Stompers, plus stilt walkers and a DJ who provided a party atmosphere.

Visitors tasted a wide range of flavours from the Caribbean, India, Spain and France.
It was also a chance for foodies to sample locally-produced food and drink, such as cheese, milk, honey, apple juice, gin, marshmallows and mushrooms.
