A former bank could be converted to a restaurant.
HD and LD has applied to Cheshire East Council to convert the former Barclays Bank at 19-21, Crewe Road, Alsager, from planning class A2 (bank) to a restaurant and bar.
Alsager Town Council has already commented on the application and requested that if it was approved, an outside seating area closed at 11pm, and that more details were provided on extraction equipment and the proposed noise and smell mitigation.
HD and LD Properties is based in Newcastle, and lets and operates property. It has assets worth £2.6m according to Companies House, and owns shops at 29, High Street, Biddulph, and 30, High Street, Congleton, as well as houses on Crewe Road and Edwards Way in Alsager.
The planning application says the restaurant would create eight full-time and 10 part-time jobs.
The proposed opening hours are weekdays, 10am to 11pm; Saturdays, 10am to 2am; and Sundays and bank holidays, 10am to 8pm.
The Cheshire East Council reference number is 21/3656C; the last date for people to submit comments is 30th July, and the council’s decision target date is 31st August.
