Meet the alpacas, and drive a JCB

The inaugural Alpaca Picnic Fest is taking place at North Rode on the August bank holiday weekend.

The charity event, which is being held on behalf of East Cheshire Hospice, starts at 5pm on Saturday, 28th August, when a live band will open the show.

Attractions include a classic car show, a chance to have a go at JCB driving, welly wanging, custom trike rides, a bi-plane restoration project, a shooting range, fun archery, and there’s even a chance to say hello to the resident alpacas.

During the show Mike Gilman, of Mikeanics Motorsports, event organiser, will be offering technical support and advice to visitors.

People can take their own food and drink to sit, relax and listen to the bands.

Admission fee is £10 per person and £10 per classic car, regardless of the number of passengers. All money will be donated to charity.
