The Cong Bear radio pantomime has become something of a Christmas tradition (“Oh no its hasn’t! Oh yes it has!”).

The first one was broadcast by Congleton Radio in 2020 and last year’s hit the airwaves worldwide.

Now the curtains are about to rise on the “On air” button for the third panto called Cong Bear In A Winter Wonderland, which listeners can listen to throughout Christmas and the new year.

No Cong Bear pantomime would be complete without an array of guest stars and Congleton Radio has announced top billing for Trevor Kennerly, of the Rossendale Trust, which provides supported living care to adults with learning and physical disabilities. He plays the Magic TV Screen.

He will be joined by plenty of familiar local guest stars in the Christmas extravaganza for young and old.

The first matinee performance of the Cong Bear panto will be on Christmas Eve (Saturday) at noon followed by an evening broadcast at 6pm that evening.

For anyone who misses those it will be repeated on Christmas day at noon and 6pm and at the same times daily up to bank holiday Monday (2nd January).
